Franco-Fête returns to Harbourfront Centre in Toronto

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Franco-Fête, co-produced by la Franco-Fête de Toronto
 at Harbourfront Centre (June 22-24)
30 years of celebrating francophone culture

TORONTO, ON (May 24, 2012) – Franco-Fête, co-produced by la Franco-Fête de Toronto, is Toronto'’s premiere francophone event and it returns to Harbourfront Centre June 22-24. From its origin as a modest St-Jean Baptiste festival, Franco-Fête has grown into a diverse, multiethnic French-language extravaganza that celebrates francophone culture through culinary creations, art, dance and most of all “la musique francophone.”

This year, Franco-Fête celebrates its 30th Anniversary and shines a spotlight on Aboriginal culture and Canada’s Great North to recognise the unique heritage of Canada’s First-Nations community.
Franco-Fête highlights include:
  • Party to the “Afro-Viking” sounds of rising pop sensation Mohombi and electro-pop, rock and souls with Montreal’s Ariane Moffatt;
  • Francolicious featuring samples of French culinary treats from local chefs;
  • Intricate, colourful and incredibly creative face painting with Kromatik;
  • And much more!
