Apple Pie Trail continues to grow in size and popularity

(News Release)

Blue Mountains, Ontario -- Entering its 8th year, in the heart of Canada’s most concentrated apple growing region -- winding its scenic way from Creemore to Collingwood, through Blue Mountain Village and on to Meaford -- the Apple Pie Trail has now extended its reach to include Creemore in Clearview Township.

Success breeds success and local Creemore businesses couldn’t wait to get involved. John Giffen of Giffen’s Country Market, a new stop on the Trail this year, explains his interest. “We’ve watched the Apple Pie Trail grow over the years and seen how it impacts the businesses involved. So we’re very excited to be a part of it and to show visitors from the region and around the world just how much Creemore and the surrounding farm area has to offer.”

The Apple Pie Trail now boasts 40 stops and 12 adventure partners offering the best in local culinary experiences, vineyards, cideries, galleries, museums, artisan products and orchards plus a new Stay and Play package at The Westin Trillium House.

The outdoor adventures include hiking, biking, paddling and new for 2016 - helicopter tours - all coupled with food and drink pairings. Handy tools such as the new 2016 Trail brochure and map help guide visitors through the area to find products and experiences unique to the region including the UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, the Niagara Escarpment and the vast expanse of Georgian Bay.
